It’s Women’s History Month, and I have to share this story.
I met an incredible woman, Venetia Clark, at a random event in the city. We quickly realized we had something in common --- we’re both pharmacists.
But her story didn’t stop there.
After 30 years in pharmacy, she retired at 55…and boldly started a completely new career as a flight attendant --- a role she’s now thrived in more than 10 years later. More on her story is here: https://www.secondactstories.org/prescription-for-change-from-pharmacist-to-flight-attendant/
There are even more parallels --- she also ran a tutoring company for a decade while working as a pharmacist.
Her journey is a reminder:
➡️It’s not “too late” to chart a new course for your career --- embrace change.
➡️Entrepreneurship is not easy, but worthwhile when it’s meaningful work.
I see so many similarities between her path and my own, and it’s both inspiring and affirming. Many of the healthcare professionals I work with are in the middle of their own transition --- pursuing a new degree, preparing for licensure, or taking the next step in their careers. It’s not always smooth, and it may not go as expected --- but keep going anyway --- it’s often worth it.
I’ve found my next chapter in pharmacology tutoring and NAPLEX support, helping future professionals cross the finish line. If you’re ready to pass your exams and move forward in your career, I’m here to help you get there.
